Sphero Solar System - Ms. Major's Grade 6
By Jon and Maya
Last week, we made a solar system using robots that were the size and shape of baseballs. We were in groups of three or four and each group was a planet in the solar system. Except Pluto because Pluto is a dwarf planet. We did it because our class wanted to see how all the planets orbit the sun and how fast they orbit. First we learned how to drive the robots. Next we learned how to code the robots to go in a perfect circle. Finally, we had to work as an entire class in order for the planets to orbit the sun. We had to persist a lot as it took us about 6 tries to get it right! This was a really fun experiment. It was fun to play with the spheros and learn more about the solar system.
